What metals do you use?

Every piece is made in a precious metal, and each product page states the exact metal and karat. We work in:

  • 925 sterling silver: 92.5% pure silver
  • 10 karat gold (yellow or white): 41.7% pure gold
  • 14 karat gold (yellow, white or rose): 58.3% pure gold
  • 18 karat gold (yellow, white or rose): 75% pure gold
  • 950 platinum: 95% pure platinum

The rest of each alloy is made up of other metals that add strength and set the color. We do not sell gold-plated or gold-filled jewelry.

What does the karat number mean?

Karat measures how much of the gold is pure gold, out of 24 parts. 10 karat is 10 parts gold out of 24, 14 karat is 14 parts, and 18 karat is 18 parts. A higher karat means a richer color and more gold. A lower karat is harder and more resistant to everyday scratches.

Is your gold solid?

Most of our gold pieces are solid. A few designs, such as tube pendants, are made hollow so they are lighter to wear. Whenever a piece is hollow, the product page says so.

What does rhodium finished mean?

Rhodium is a precious metal in the platinum family. It is applied as a thin, bright white plating over some sterling silver and white gold pieces. It brightens the color and slows tarnish. Like any plating, it wears gradually and can be reapplied by a jeweler. The metal underneath is the sterling silver or karat gold stated on the product page.

Do you use natural or lab grown diamonds?

We offer both. Lab grown diamonds are chemically and optically the same as mined diamonds, grown rather than mined. Every product page states whether a diamond is natural or lab grown, and where you can choose, each option is clearly labeled.

Do your diamonds come with a grading report?

Every made-to-order diamond piece ships with an IGI jewelry report. Other pieces include a grading report when the product page says so.

Will my jewelry tarnish?

Sterling silver naturally develops a soft patina over time, and a polishing cloth restores it. Rhodium-finished pieces resist tarnish for longer. 14 and 18 karat gold and platinum do not tarnish. 10 karat gold can dull slightly over time and is easily cleaned. Keeping any piece away from perfume, chlorine and prolonged moisture helps it stay bright.

Sizing

How do I find my ring size?

Measure the inside diameter of a ring that fits well, or wrap a strip of paper around your finger and measure the length in millimeters. If you're between sizes, we recommend sizing up. Questions? Write to us — we're glad to help.

Which necklace length should I choose?

16" sits at the base of the neck, 18" at the collarbone (our most versatile length), 20" a touch below, and 22–24" gives a relaxed, longer drop.

When will my order ship?

Ready-to-ship pieces are dispatched within 1–3 business days. Made-to-order pieces are crafted after you order, and the production time is shown on each product page. Every order ships free within the US with UPS, insured to its full value, tracked, and requires a signature on delivery. Full details are in our Shipping Policy.

Returns & Care

What is your return policy?

Ready-to-ship pieces can be returned within 30 days of delivery, unworn and in their original packaging. Made-to-order pieces, custom pieces and earrings are final sale. If anything arrives damaged, defective or not as ordered, we will make it right on any piece. Full details are in our Returns & Refunds policy.

How should I store my jewelry?

In the box it arrived in, away from direct sunlight and humidity. Store pieces separately to prevent scratching and tangling.
