Frequently Asked Questions
Materials & Craftsmanship
What metals do you use?
Two, and only two: solid 925 sterling silver and solid 14 karat gold. Every piece we sell is precious metal all the way through — never a cheap base metal hidden under a thin coating. We do not sell gold filled or gold plated jewelry.
Is your silver solid sterling?
Yes. Every silver piece is solid 925 sterling silver throughout — not plated, not filled.
Is your gold solid?
Yes. Our gold pieces are solid 14 karat gold, stamped 14K — not plated, not gold filled. Gold that holds its value the way gold should.
Some pieces say rhodium finished. What does that mean?
Rhodium is a precious metal in the platinum family, applied as a bright white finish over solid sterling silver. It is a finish, not a filler — an important difference. With plated or gold filled jewelry, the coating is the only thing of value and the metal underneath is worthless once it wears. Here, the sterling silver beneath is solid and valuable whether the rhodium is there or not. The finish simply keeps the piece brighter and slows tarnish. Like any finish, it wears gradually with time and can be reapplied by any jeweler.
Do you use lab grown diamonds?
In select pieces, yes. Lab grown diamonds are chemically and optically identical to mined diamonds — the same brilliance and hardness, produced without mining. Where a piece contains them, the stone type and carat weight are listed on the product page.
Will my jewelry tarnish?
Sterling silver naturally develops a soft patina over time; a few seconds with a polishing cloth restores full brightness. Rhodium finished silver resists tarnish for longer. Solid 14 karat gold does not tarnish. Keeping any piece away from perfume, chlorine, and prolonged moisture helps it stay bright longer.
Sizing
How do I find my ring size?
Measure the inside diameter of a ring that fits well, or wrap a strip of paper around your finger and measure the length in millimeters. If you're between sizes, we recommend sizing up. Questions? Write to us — we're glad to help.
Which necklace length should I choose?
16" sits at the base of the neck, 18" at the collarbone (our most versatile length), 20" a touch below, and 22–24" gives a relaxed, longer drop.
